I am a pastor living in McCook, Nebraska. Melissa and I were married in 2010, and we have three boys (Jonas, Samuel, and Benjamin).
I grew up in Chadron, Nebraska, where I graduated from high school and then from Chadron State College in 2005. I spent several years working as a software developer, and then joined the United States Army in 2010 where I served in the 82nd Airborne Division. At the end of that grand adventure, we moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where I enrolled in seminary at Cincinnati Christian University. We moved back to McCook in 2016. I transferred to Regent University to complete my Master’s of Divinity online.
We began attending Grace Baptist Church in 2017 after I completed an internship in student ministry with McCook Christian Church. I assumed part-time pastoral duties in early 2019 from my friend and mentor, Brett Scollard. I became the full-time pastor in July of that year after the church re-planted as Grace Fellowship in downtown McCook.
I love studying theology, hearing inspirational stories of redemption from other Christians, reading, writing, music, hiking, camping, grilling – the list goes on. Creation is a wonderful thing to explore. Thankfully, I have the best partner in exploration I could ask for in the form of my wife, and the three most incredible little men to show creation to in the form of my boys.
